Pay & Commission

Hourly wage: $16.00 to $19.00 per hour. An easily achievable commission structure pays you for every transaction processed. Retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $7.35 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six (6+) months of management or 3rd key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store, promoting a positive, productive environment, and partnering with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction.

This position sets the tone for a customer‑centric environment and supports business growth and asset protection.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company‑prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensuring all procedures are followed to protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer store processes and procedures, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise‑level reporting.
  • Evaluate the store's financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain the value and integrity of all loans issued.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development as requested.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to ensure they understand the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods of time (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
  • Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification if required.
  • Willingness to assist customers outside the building and retrieve products from exterior storage.
  • Minimum age 18 years.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Flexibility to work in multiple locations and on a flexible retail schedule (weekends and holidays).
  • Willingness to work 40+ hours per week; hours are not guaranteed.
  • Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Cash handling experience required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
