Job SummaryMerchandiser - displays beverage merchandise on retail store shelves, showcases, and sales floor to increase product visibility and meet sales targets.
Responsibilities- Arrange products according to prearranged plan or approved own ideas.
- Place price and descriptive signs on backdrop, fixtures, merchandise, or floor.
- Transfer product from customer stock room to floor displays to comply with “Sell By” dates, maximize product in store and minimize product in stock room.
- Order product for assigned accounts per established procedures to prevent out-of-stocks.
- Originate display ideas or follow suggestions/schedule of Merchandiser Manager and Sales Manager.
- Communicate daily with key store personnel on any service or product needs.
- Construct or assemble display aids from company‑provided point of sale (POS) materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other supervisor.
- No supervisory responsibilities.
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Basic math skills, including rate, ratio, percent, and graph interpretation.
- Some states require employees to be 21 years of age or older when promoting, merchandising, and delivering alcoholic beverages.
- Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to follow instructions, solve problems with several concrete variables.
- Must meet company driver qualifications.
- Must be able to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as needed.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds unassisted and occasionally lift or move objects up to 100 pounds using a hand-truck or manual lifting device.

The role requires regular standing, walking, using hands to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms. Occasionally the employee is required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regular lifting of up to 70 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds is required.
Work EnvironmentThe employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions and moderate noise levels.
