Location: The St George Hospital and Health Services is part of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District and serves as a principal teaching hospital and leading centre for trauma and emergency management in NSW.

The Role

The Heating, Venting and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) and Refrigeration Technician is part of the Facilities Management function within SESLHD and is responsible for the provision of efficient and effective services related to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration. The position addresses, maintains, and resolves daily operational issues across SESLHD facilities.

Selection Criteria
  • A trade qualification in HVAC/refrigeration with knowledge and understanding of the application of relevant Australian Standards and Codes of Practice.
  • Demonstrated good organisational and time management skills with the ability to work under minimal supervision while following safe work practices.
  • Proven skills in fault finding and problem solving, including the ability to interpret building and services plans.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in the use of computerised building management control systems to monitor, control, fault find and adjust systems and associated controllers.
