About Us

Here at Rods N Mods in St. George, Utah, we engineer classic metal into modern supercars. We are not a standard repair shop changing oil on daily drivers. We are a premier builder of high-end Restomods and custom hot rods. Our clients expect un-compromised execution, turnkey reliability, and massive horsepower, and we hold our mechanical engineering to the absolute highest standard in the industry.

The Role

We are looking for a top-tier Mechanic and Technician to join the crew. You need to be a true master of both the analog and digital automotive worlds.

In this role, you will be the mechanical backbone of our custom builds. We need a technician who is just as comfortable dialing in a carburetor on a numbers-matching classic as they are wiring up a modern EFI system for a 500+ horsepower crate engine. Whether we are preserving automotive history or cutting floorboards to make room for a massive modern transmission, you will be the one making it run flawlessly.

What You Will Do
  • Modern Powerplants: Execute seamless Engine installs.
  • Vintage Restorations: Expertly diagnose, repair, and tune original Corvettes and other classic iron to keep them running perfectly while preserving their history.
  • Restomod Conversions: Transform aging vintage restorations into canyon-carving Restomods with modern drive lines, big brakes, and pro-touring suspension systems.
  • EFI & Wiring: Wire up complete custom chassis harnesses, integrate modern climate control systems, and dial in aftermarket fuel injection setups.
  • Drivetrain Mastery: Bolt up heavy-duty manual and automatic transmissions, dial in the rear-end gearing, and make sure massive horsepower reliably makes it to the pavement.
What We Are Looking For
  • Proven Experience: A deep mechanical background specifically focused on high-performance engines, vintage classic car repair, and custom restomods.
  • Problem Solver: You must have the critical thinking skills to reroute plumbing, adapt brackets, and make modern tech work flawlessly
  • Uncompromised Standards: You understand that a messy wiring harness, a loose fitting, or a dripping oil pan is unacceptable. You build for reliability, cleanliness, and top-tier performance.
  • Team

    Collaboration:

You will be working directly alongside our fabrication, body, and paint teams to ensure the mechanical components integrate seamlessly into the final aesthetic of the build.
Why Join Rods N Mods?

We are building some of the most aggressive, high-end classic cars and trucks in the country. When you drop an engine between the frame rails at our shop, your mechanical work will be documented by our media team, showcased to the world, taken to massive national shows, and driven hard by clients who expect the absolute best.

Ready to turn wrenches on the best vintage metal in the West? Send your resume and a list of your most impressive builds and classic restorations to the Rods N Mods team today.
