Contribute to our communities by helping the Utah Office of Recovery Services(ORS) in their mission to promote responsibility, by providing child support services and support for children in care to help ensure parents arefinancially responsible for their children. ORS also helps ensure public fundsare used appropriately through the efforts of our Bureau of Medical Collections.

Starting Pay: $20.31 per hour

The hourly rate of pay goes up to $22.60 per hour upon successful completion of a one-year probation period!

We are looking for hard-working, ambitious people to work as a Child Support Caseworker (Compliance Agent I) to:

• Receiveextensive training to learn the interesting process of legallyestablishing paternity and child support orders, and/or enforcing ordersby collecting child support and enforcing other provisions within theorder.
• Verifyand/or correct balances owed, determine appropriate legal action includinggarnishment or liens.
• Prepare documentation in support of cases presented in court hearings.
• Conduct research to gather evidence, analyze facts, and apply knowledge of the Office of Recovery Services' rules, regulations, and policies.

• Proficiency in a technology-driven environment with intermediate to advanced computer skills.
• Exceptional ability to multi-task and quickly make decisions.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with an ability to assist people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact and professionalism, without prejudice or bias.
• Abilityto effectively contact individuals or organizations to secure delinquent payments, and/or arrange payment plans for money owed.
• Effectivelyinterpret, clarify, explain and apply agency policy and procedures, business practices, federal or state laws, and regulations.
