Disney Digital Entertainment is seeking talented individuals passionate about pushing the boundaries of game engine technology. As a critical part of our team, you will leverage your expertise to build and optimize feature-rich engines, ensuring smooth and high-performance experiences for global audiences.

This role will report to the Director of Engineering, Game Engines. The team is fully remote across the Nordic region.

Use your deep experience with Unreal Engine to build and extend the systems that game teams rely on. You will work across Unreal Engine and UEFN, help shape the technology platform that game teams build on, and identify where it needs to go next.

Write clean, maintainable code in the language best suited to the problem. You will move between C++ for engine and tools work, Verse for UEFN, and Python for automation and internal tooling, solving practical problems across the stack.

Lead improvements across the core systems that underpin Unreal Engine and UEFN development tribute directly and help teammates make development faster, smoother, and more enjoyable.

Build and evolve the internal tools that game teams depend on, including developer workflow automation, pipeline improvements, and source-control infrastructure.

Use AI coding tools in your daily work and help push the boundaries of what is possible. The team actively invests in leveraging AI to improve workflows and expects senior engineers to contribute to raising the bar.

Você tem experiência profissional significativa com C++ e Unreal Engine, e uma ampla experiência em desenvolvimento de motores e ferramentas, refinamento de sistemas, implementação de recursos e otimização de fluxos de trabalho. Você entende como as peças se encaixam em todo o stack, não apenas nas partes que você está diretamente trabalhando.

Você é curioso, ansioso para aprender e sempre disposto a experimentar novas ideias e abordagens. Você entra rapidamente em domínios desconhecidos usando documentação, ferramentas de IA e seus colegas, em vez de esperar por treinamento formal.

Você gosta de colaborar entre disciplinas, orientar outros e apoiar os colegas para manter os projetos avançando suavemente. A equipe é pequena, então o apoio mútuo importa.
