Job Description
This position represents the face of Intermountain Healthcare to customers, patients, and physicians who use Courier services to transport items between facilities and organizations within Intermountain Healthcare. You are responsible for delivering professional, helpful, and high‑quality service while operating a light or medium duty vehicle (less than 10,000 GVW). Routes range from short local trips to long‑distance routes covering up to 500+ miles per day.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a motor vehicle safely in various conditions, ensuring the safety of personnel and yourself.
- Maintain a customer‑focused service mindset, building trust and exceeding expectations.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Manage time and workload efficiently, setting priorities and sequencing tasks.
- Take initiative to support department goals and improve processes.
- Adapt quickly to dynamic business needs and change, suggesting improvements.
- Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
- A DOT Medical Card.
- Six months of experience in a customer service or logistics position.
- Compliance with Intermountain Healthcare's Motor Vehicle Driver Policy (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- At least 21 years old (requirement for DOT commercial motor vehicle).
- Ability to obtain a valid CDL medical card within 30 days of hire (for Courier Services positions).
- Basic proficiency with internet and email applications.
- Ability to understand and follow department procedures and practices.
- Physical ability to climb, lift, pull/push, see, sit, squat/kneel, stand, and walk as required.
Intermountain Health St George Regional Hospital, St George, Utah.
SchedulePart‑time; 24 hours per week. Routes may involve travel up to 500+ miles per day.
CompensationHourly range $18.30 – $23.79, dependent on experience.
