Position Purpose
The CDL Driver – Hazmat is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver products to customer locations or job sites, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while following all DOT regulations. Drivers are essential partners in our success, delivering reliability, trust, and a great customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Follow all DOT rules and maintain a clean driving record.
- Comply with all federal and state hazardous‑material regulations.
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure safe and on‑time deliveries.
- Load, unload, and organize orders carefully, securing all products and separating hazardous materials appropriately.
- Understand and adhere to FMCSA regulations.
- Verify purchase orders and delivery tickets to confirm routes and inventory, reducing errors and improving customer satisfaction.
- Support job‑site safety by identifying and reporting potential hazards.
- Take required photos of delivered products.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and receipts.

None.
Local travel only; deliveries commence and conclude at the branch.
Physical Requirements- Ability to lift and handle freight/materials up to 100 pounds.
- Consistent physical activity including bending, crouching, prolonged standing, and sitting.
- Must meet DOT medical certification standards to operate vehicles.
Work performed in a warehouse environment with noise and temperature extremes. Driving in varied weather and traffic conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
Minimum Qualifications- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with HAZMAT endorsement.
- Current DOT Medical Certification.
- Completion of FMCSA registration.
- Ability to lift and handle freight/materials up to 100 pounds.
- Minimum age 21 for transporting hazardous materials.
- Clean driving record (no hit & runs or DWI/DUI in the last 18 months).
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance, and OSHA safety regulations.
- Basic computer skills to record deliveries and track inventory.
- Air brake endorsement.
- Experience operating manual or automatic transmission vehicles.
- Valid and unexpired forklift certification.
- Valid and unexpired certification to operate a Moffett truck‑mounted forklift.
- Prior commercial driving experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred EducationNone.
Minimum ExperienceNo prior experience required; however, commercial driving experience and familiarity with DOT/OSHA safety regulations are preferred.
