Water Truck Driver

Key Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform proper inspections to go through ports of entry.
• Maintain time and material records.
• Follow verbal and written instruction.
• Apply knowledge of different types of material and grades being sprayed.
• Maneuver and back equipment safely.
• Communicate effectively on the radio system.

• High school diploma or GED required; two years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.

• Valid state Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) with tanker endorsement.
• Valid medical card as required by DOT.

• One to two years of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred incident‑free driving record.
• May be subject to drug, alcohol, and physical agility testing.

• Communication using two‑way radio.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills (preferred).

The job requires frequent sitting, climbing, and using hands to signal and handle equipment. Occasional standing, walking, crawling, kneeling, bending, and reaching above shoulders; occasional lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

Work may involve wet/humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather; extreme cold or heat. Noise level is usually moderate.
