Position: Saint John Admitting/Registration/Scheduling Coordinator (1032) PCN 1250393

JOB PURPOSE

The Admitting Coordinator is responsible for performing admitting and bed management duties and supervising employees that are engaged in the admission process.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School graduation plus an administrative support program of at least six months duration or equivalent.
  • Must have three years of related experience.
  • Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
  • Ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Good work record.
  • Demonstrated proficiency verified by testing in:

  • Data Entry 4000 KSPH
  • Medical Terminology Spelling 75%
  • Medical Terminology Vocabulary 75%
  • Outlook 50%
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Admitting Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Developing staff schedules
  • Providing day-to-day supervision of and support to staff
  • Admitting and registering/scheduling appointments
  • Preparing and maintaining patient records
  • Maintaining bed tracking systems
  • Performing clerical duties
