As a Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, you’ll spearhead recruitment and retention strategies essential for a thriving volunteer program. Collaborate with various departments to ensure volunteers have meaningful roles and recognize their contributions effectively.

Your role also includes fostering partnerships with local organizations and supporting fundraising initiatives that align with the YMCA’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop annual volunteer recruitment and retention strategies

• Monitor recruitment metrics and provide improvement recommendations

• Build partnerships for volunteer recruitment opportunities

• Coordinate volunteer recognition initiatives and community engagement

• Support volunteer involvement in donor events and fundraising activities

Requirements:

• Completion of a related post-secondary degree

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and documentation management

• Proven experience in cross-departmental teamwork

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Experience in non-profit settings is an asset
