YMCA Volunteer & Community Coordinator

Drive volunteer engagement at the YMCA as the Volunteer & Community Coordinator in Saint John, NB. This role focuses on recruiting, training, and recognizing volunteers to enhance community connections.

In this position, you will lead initiatives that build a strong culture of volunteerism. You’ll ensure volunteers meet organizational needs while experiencing meaningful contributions. Collaborating with the Philanthropy team, you will also support fundraising efforts that connect the community with the YMCA's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement strategies for volunteer recruitment and retention

• Report on volunteer metrics and recommend improvements

• Partner with schools and organizations for volunteer outreach

• Design recognition programs to promote long-term engagement

• Organize volunteer participation in community events

Requirements:

• Degree in a related field

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong communication and organizational abilities

• Experience managing multiple projects

• Non-profit work or volunteer experience preferred
