Fire Alarm Technician – service

Location:

Victoria
• Salary: $30–$46 per hour

Job Description

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll be the go‑to expert for inspecting, servicing, and troubleshooting our clients’ fire alarm systems.

Among other things, your responsibilities will be:

  • Complete annual or system inspections
  • Install, verify, inspect, and repair fire alarm systems, including equipment setup and basic panel programming
  • Perform system readings and functional checks to confirm everything is operating as intended
  • Prepare clear service reports and keep site files and records accurate and up to date
  • Recommend improvements and suggest changes that enhance system performance
  • Answer customer questions, explain work performed, and offer guidance.
  • Work safely and smartly, following all health and safety procedures and taking great care of tools and test equipment
  • Respond to service calls on an 8‑week rotation

Success Factors:

  • 3 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician
  • Marine experience is required
  • CFAA/ASTT certification
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain security clearance for Defence work
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently
