SummaryAutobody technicians make body repairs to cars, trucks and other motor vehicles using traditional hand tools and a range of specialty body repair tools. These repairs are accomplished by inspecting and determining the repair work needed, developing appropriate methods for each job and applying a broad knowledge of automotive construction and repair techniques.

- Red seal certified, Amazing! Not yet certified, We'll gude and support 2nd or 3rd year apprentices toward their Red Seal Certification
- Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
- Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
- Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
- Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
- Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
- Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
- File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
- Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs
- Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation
- Red Seal Certified Technician preferred but not required.
- Second and third year apprentice, we'll help you get your red seal certification
- Must be able to provide and maintain a valid driver’s license, drivers abstract and criminal background check.
- Strong attention to detail and top quality craftmanship
- Must be able to perform strenuous physical labour, ability to lift heavy objects, twist, turn, bend and stand for long periods of time without restriction
- Continuing Education
- As vehicle technology and repair techniques continue to evolve, on-going training is a must. - Ability to be professional and deliver exceptional service to clients.

- Methodical and patient in your approach with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to multi-task, possess strong time management and organizational skills and meet required deadlines.

- Work well under pressure
- Must maintain all required OH&S certifications, must ensure a safe workplace and are responsible for your own safety and the safety of others in the workplace.
- Strenuous physical labour. Must be able to bend. twist, lift, stand for extended periods of time.

- Busy, Noisy shop environment
- Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
- Hazards associated with the industry.
- Must wear PPE and follow safety standards at all times.
