Join On Side Restoration as a Drywaller/Painter and help rebuild homes and businesses after disaster strikes. You’ll repair and finish drywall, apply textures, and bring spaces to life with fresh paint.

Measure, cut, install, and repair damaged drywallEstimate the quantity of materials required by measuring surfaces, reviewing scopes, sketches and work ordersCeiling textureTape, mud, sand, and texture surfacesPrepare and protect work sitesPrepare surfaces and apply primers, paints, stains, or finishesApply finishes that are sponged, ragged and layeredFeathering/blending wall paintMatch colors and apply coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray gunsWhat You Bring
5+ years of drywall repair experience (cutting, mudding, sanding, taping, painting)Experience with restoration repairs (vs new or renovation)Level 5 drywall finishing techniqueBrush/roller/spray gun paint experience to finish the area for uniformity and completionConstruction experience and tool proficiency: you have your own tools for the jobPrevious experience reading and executing work ordersTexturing skills (knockdown, popcorn, orange peel)Leadership to guide helpers and train less experienced workersPhysically fit: able to do heavy lifting (moving materials) and long periods of kneeling/bending/crouching/reachingAbility to work independently or in a teamTech-savvy (comfortable using apps/software)Strong communication and people skillsDetail-oriented, quality-driven, safety-focusedValid driver’s licence and clean criminal record (we do check)Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spokenWhy You’ll Love Working Here

Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement. Meaning you’ll work regular weekday hours and participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.
