Machine Operator

Plastipak Packaging, Inc., a global leader in rigid plastic packaging and recycling, is seeking a Machine Operator for its manufacturing operations. In this role, you will set up, operate, monitor, and adjust plastic molding and packaging equipment to safely produce PET and HDPE containers to quality standards. Responsibilities include performing routine changeovers, basic equipment maintenance, troubleshooting line issues, completing production and quality documentation, and following strict safety and cleanliness procedures.

You'll work closely with maintenance and quality teams, support continuous improvement, and contribute to sustainable packaging solutions for leading consumer brands.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor plastic packaging and molding machines
• Perform line changeovers and machine adjustments to meet production specs
• Inspect products and complete quality checks to meet standards
• Follow all safety, GMP, and cleanliness procedures on the production floor
• Record production data, downtime, and quality results accurately
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and report mechanical issues
• Troubleshoot routine equipment and process problems
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production teams to meet goals
• Support continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives
• Handle materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods per procedures
