Job Summary
Responsible for staffing allocation functions for hospital-based nursing departments, including flex and float pools. Performs timekeeping duties as directed.
Essential Functions- Analyzes shift-by-shift staffing variances by unit and re-allocates or cancels staff following standard procedures.
- Assigns float and flex pool team members to units with staffing deficits and communicates assignments to team members following standard procedures.
- Utilizes staffing and scheduling software program(s) to perform scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll duties as directed by leadership.
- Attends meetings, compiles data, performs staffing recruitment tasks, and assists leadership as directed.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with co-workers and team members from other departments. Helps others as needed to contribute to the overall success of the department and Corewell Health.
Required
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Associate's Degree in related field
- 2 years of relevant experience Office, clerical or secretarial work, health care, customer service, computer applications, scheduling. Required
