Advanced Radiology Services is one of the largest physician-owned radiology practices in the country. Our growing practice includes 180 radiologists, 30 advanced practice providers, and 175 employees providing administrative support in our wholly owned subsidiary STARS. We provide services to more than 60 different sites across the state of Michigan. ARS is the exclusive radiology provider to Lakeland Health in Southwest Michigan. The hospital in St. Joseph has almost 300 beds and is a Level III Trauma Center. Lakeland was recently named one of the nation’s 15 Top U.S. Health Systems by Truven Health Analytics. This study evaluates health care systems on five areas: inpatient outcomes, process of care, extended outcomes, efficiency, and patient experience.

We have a position currently available for an Interventional Radiologist in St. Joseph. This is a partnership track position and will join two other IR physicians. We could offer a standard track role (39 weeks and 11 weekends) or a 7/7 role (26 weeks) which covers call those weeks.

• This position would be approximately 50% interventional radiology and 50% general diagnostic radiology.
• The IR practice covers a wide spectrum of inpatient and outpatient interventional procedures such as vertebral augmentation, ablations, trauma embolization, GIB embolization, venous intervention, central venous access including implanted ports, biopsies and drainages and pain management procedures.

Why is our IR practice unique? ARS is a 100% physician owned and managed practice and fully committed to remaining independent. We are establishing a state wide IR service leveraging our DR (distributed radiology) platform. This allows us to interact with colleagues and provide expertise in all locations. Our growing practice values IR and provides dedicated clinic time and support for physicians.

Additionally we have an outstanding team of Advanced Practice Providers rounding and performing minor procedures at our hospitals throughout the state. We have quarterly peer review meetings to support physicians and promote continued learning. We now have an interventional radiology residency program in Grand Rapids which will allow our physicians opportunity for teaching and research if desired.

We are offering a 50K recruitment incentive (sign on bonus), competitive compensation package and opportunities for additional shifts on a month to month basis. Our physicians have no out of pocket expense for medical/dental/vision coverage and enjoy an $18,000 medical reimbursement account annually. We also contribute the maximum amount allowed to the 401K plan ($70,000 in 2025). We offer 13 weeks of vacation for our standard track positions and we are continually striving to improve the work/life balance for our physicians.

St. Joseph is located on the Lake Michigan shoreline and considered one of Michigan's most popular beach towns. This growing resort community welcomes visitors with brick roads, unique restaurants and a wide array of shopping. The area has quality public school systems, gorgeous sand dunes, parks, and other natural amenities. It is surrounded by lush countryside that produces some of the nation's finest orchards and vineyards.
