CAD Designer Overview

We are seeking a CAD Designer to support the design and development of custom tooling solutions for the plastics and die cast industries. The candidate will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to develop detailed 3D models and production‑ready tooling designs in a fast‑paced environment. Salary $28–$33 per hour with benefits starting day 1 and opportunities for growth.

• Design plastic injection molds and die cast tooling using CAD software.
• Develop complete 3D assembly models and detailed 2D drawings.
• Review customer specifications, engineering data, and tooling requirements.
• Support production tooling improvements and design enhancements.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and project teams.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving tooling‑related issues.
• Maintain engineering documentation and file management standards.
• Plan and prioritize multiple design projects and daily tasks.

• Experience with CAD design in a manufacturing, tooling, or engineering environment.
• Mold, die, tooling, or mechanical design experience preferred.
• Recent graduates with internship or co‑op experience encouraged to apply.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving ability.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering requirements.
• Strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
