Due to an internal promotion, a profitable, stable manufacturer is hiring their next Sr. Financial Analyst to partner with the Plant Manager, leading financial analysis and driving profitability at a fast-paced manufacturing plant. Daily you will partner with operations and will report to the Director of Finance.
Responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Business Partnership & Profitability: Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the Plant Manager and operations leadership, delivering data-driven financial analysis, recommendations, and KPI tracking to directly improve plant efficiency and profitability.
  • Financial Planning & Advanced Analysis: Lead the annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long-range planning processes while performing detailed variance analyses against budget, forecast, and prior-year performance.
  • Cost Reduction & Efficiency: Oversee standard costing, usage variances, scrap reporting, and PPV; partner cross-functionally on continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, process optimization, and operational cost savings.
  • Manpower & Resource Optimization: Support cost center managers through detailed labor and operational financial insights, analyzing variance trends to help evaluate and optimize headcount, productivity, and resource allocation.
  • Close Support & Financial Reporting: Assist with month-end close activities by analyzing income statement and balance sheet results, evaluating business trends and risks, and delivering weekly, monthly, and annual financial reporting packages.

The qualified candidate will enjoy analysis, be approachable, able to work in a team environment to support other managers, and be eager to partner with the Plant Manager to focus on improving profitability. The Plant Manager is anxiously awaiting their strategic finance partner! There is minimal travel with this position. This position is required to be on site Monday-Friday.

REQUIREMENTS for the Sr. Financial Analyst:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business related field
  • At least 3-5 years in a similar manufacturing financial or accounting analysis role
  • Experience with forecasting and budgeting
  • Experience supporting month-end closing functions
  • Strong background with financial analysis
  • Financial reporting experience
  • Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Skills preferred but NOT required:
  • ERP system experience
  • Cost accounting experience
  • Automotive supplier experience
