Description:
We are seeking a dependable, reliable, and self-motivated Registered Nurse with strong hospice and medical/oncology experience to join our team.
The RN delivers compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals at the end of life while supporting families and collaborating closely with the clinical team.
This role requires excellent assessment skills and sound clinical judgment.
Strong communication and the ability to delegate tasks within the scope of practice are essential.
Flexibility and adaptability are crucial for meeting changing patient needs and care environments.
The RN is responsible for delivering nursing care in accordance with professional and legal standards.
Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Upholds professional performance standards including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, and collaboration.
Strives to achieve optimal patient outcomes through evidence-based practices.
Engages in decision-making based on ethical principles and the ethical code for nurses.
As a patient/family advocate, the RN ensures privacy and confidentiality are upheld.
The RN assesses overall patient and family needs, analyzes assessment data, and identifies potential diagnoses or issues.
Develops and implements individualized interprofessional plans of care that recommend strategies to achieve outcomes.
Evaluates patient and family educational needs and employs appropriate teaching strategies.
Initiates discharge planning at the time of patient contact to ensure smooth transitions for patients.
Ensures that documentation is performed accurately and in a timely manner.
Assumes a leadership role and delegates appropriately to support quality patient care.
Participates in ongoing improvement activities and safety initiatives related to patient care.
Completes all position-related competencies and requirements on time.
Performs other duties as assigned.
