Logistics Specialist

Job Description

• Responsible for logistics planning for one or more value streams, including forecasting, supplier planning, customer planning and inventory management.
• Understand customer requirements, both short term and long term, and communicate any changes—such as customer shutdowns or significant variations—to the organization.
• Ensure supplier releases are accurate and sent as planned; notify the organization of any concerns such as past‑due status, supplier shutdown, production interruption, stop‑ship, or capacity constraints.
• Communicate customer requirements and supplier constraints to the production areas.
• Provide logistical expertise during new product launches and engineering changes.
• Procure material from a list of suppliers—both internal and external to the plant—including delivery tracking, expediting and supplier development.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities to meet plant and logistics targets.
• Manage and monitor material component parameters to optimize inventory levels while supporting planned production.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent years of relevant experience will be considered.
• At least five years of proven customer and/or supplier planning experience.
• Strong SAP knowledge in customer and supplier planning.
• Competency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Proactive, results‑oriented approach with a drive for continuous improvement.
