Manufacturing Technician (Die Cast)

Compensation Based on Experience.

$30 - $36 per hour | St. Joseph, MI | On-Site | Permanent

A growing precision manufacturing company in Southwest Michigan is seeking an experienced Die Cast Operator to support high performance die casting operations in a fast paced production environment. This is a hands on role focused on machine setup, process optimization, troubleshooting, automation support, and maintaining quality standards across production.

• Set up and operate cold chamber die casting equipment
• Troubleshoot casting defects and optimize process parameters
• Perform die changes and assist with machine maintenance
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
• Support process improvements to reduce downtime and scrap
• Operate and troubleshoot FANUC robots and automation systems
• Assist with hydraulic, mechanical, and basic electrical troubleshooting
• Maintain accurate production and process documentation

• 3+ years of die casting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with cold chamber die cast machines
• FANUC robot experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of tooling, alloys, shot profiles, and die temperature control
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
• Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting skills
• Experience with automation systems, conveyors, or EOAT is a plus

• Preventive maintenance support
• Forklift or overhead crane operation
• Lockout/Tagout and molten metal safety procedures
• Process improvement and scrap reduction initiatives
