Shift & Schedule

Night Shift, 24 hrs/week (7:00p.m. – 7:30a.m.), variable days, every other weekend.
Sign‑on bonus: up to $12,000 for external candidates.

The Post‑Surgical Care Unit is a fast‑paced, 30‑bed unit providing care for patients following various surgeries or procedures. The unit culture is welcoming, encourages learning, promotes teamwork, and focuses on delivering high‑quality care. The RN manages many lines, catheters, and drains.

The RN, within the ANA scope of practice, utilizes the nursing process to provide professional nursing care. The RN performs assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and discharge of patients. Under the direction of the Nurse Leader and in accordance with Corewell Health policies, the RN incorporates patient‑family centered care principles, partners with patient/family to set goals, develops teaching strategies, and documents education and learning in the health record.

• Associate’s in Nursing or Bachelor’s in Nursing within the past 5years.
• Graduates of a non‑accredited nursing program must have at least one year of acute‑care experience or two years of experience in a licensed health‑care role and must have passed the NCLEX.
• Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Successful completion of a competency‑based orientation program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC within 90days.
