We need a proven, tech-savvy self-starter who thrives under general direction. Your responsibilities will include completing vehicle repairs to meet Company, State, and Federal requirements. You’ll play a vital role in our operations, from parts purchasing to handling inclement weather duties and facility repairs/upkeep. • Integrate into the Trobec’s culture of safety, professionalism, and service.
• Diagnose and perform repairs on gas and diesel engines, drive lines, suspension, steering, brakes, air systems, HVAC, tires, and electrical systems.
• Demonstrate competence in utilizing technology tools for diagnosis and repair. The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy and thrive in a shop that utilizes technology.
• Demonstrate competence in diagnosing mechanical and electrical systems and ability to troubleshoot more complex engine and chassis problems.
• Produce quality on‑time repairs.
• Follow company and manufacturer service intervals.
• Perform preventative maintenance as directed on schedule while inspecting and noting any deficiencies.
• Recognize component failures and suggest repairs as necessary to comply with current DOT safety standards.
• Participate in weekly maintenance meetings with other technicians and operations personnel. Accurately communicate in‑service vehicle availability.
• Direct daily repair schedules to maximize performance and productivity within the department.
• Maintain a clean, well‑organized work area.
• Effectively work independently or as a team.
• Participate in training and further education as directed.
