ROLE OVERVIEW:

Our season kicks off in April and runs through November, with the possibility of extending into December. As a seasonal team member, you'll enjoy winters off to travel, hunt, fish, or pursue the activities you love-while still keeping your benefits all year long.

This position is responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer truck to deliver equipment to designated location.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)

* Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained

* Accurately complete daily vehicle inspection forms

* Perform daily housekeeping on truck

* Safely operate and maintain truck

* Properly load, secure & unload material

* Recognize chain ratings, proper securements

* Accurately complete load tickets where applicable

* Communicate or plan routing with Dispatch or State system

* Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.)

* Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors

* Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance

* Performs other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (types and extent of knowledge, skills or abilities an incumbent must possess to complete the job responsibilities satisfactorily)

* Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations

* Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)

* Over 3 months up to and including 6 months from post high school, work, military, institutional or vocational environment

* Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record

* A CDL Class A (tractor-trailer) license

COMPENSATION:

$28.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience
