Trobec's Bus Service is dedicated to providing a safe and enriching educational experience for our students. We are currently seeking School Bus Activity Trip Drivers to join our team! This is a flexible position— you choose when you want to work and you must be available a minimum of one day per week.

Job Description: As a School Bus Activity Trip Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our students during sporting events and field trips. You will be responsible for safely transporting students to various destinations and for providing a secure and comfortable journey while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.

• Safely operate and maintain the school bus, conducting pre‑trip inspections to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Ensure the safety of students during boarding, travel, and disembarking, including the use of safety restraints.
• Follow established routes and schedules, adjusting for any unforeseen delays or detours.
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment and supplies required for each trip as needed.
• Respond to any emergencies or incidents on the bus, following established protocols.
• Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate authorities.
• Uphold a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with students, parents, and school staff.

Qualifications:

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement—if you don’t have a CDL, we will provide paid training to get you licensed.
• Clean driving record.
• Prior experience as a school bus driver or similar role is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and student well‑being.
• Ability to maintain a positive atmosphere on the bus.
• Dependability and punctuality.
• Ability to follow directions and adhere to schedules.

Work Days: Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed

Experience: Commercial driving experience preferred, but not required.

License/Certification: CDL, Passenger, School Bus, & Airbrake Endorsement
