Job Summary
The Center for Student Involvement Assistant supports the daily operational management of Griffon Headquarters ( GHQ ), including customer service, facility care, and administrative support duties.
- Serves as initial contact upon entering Griffon Headquarters, greeting customers/students upon entry and assisting as needed
- Facilitates student check-in and check-out procedures, both into the facility and of GHQ equipment
- Maintains office cleanliness and efficiency, including tidying/organizing facility spaces, monitoring equipment functionality, and keeping inventory of office supplies
- Monitors and answers office telephone line, providing accurate information and delegating calls as necessary
- Basic equipment troubleshooting, including but not limited to consoles, PCs, controllers, headphones, office supplies, etc.
- Assists CSI staff with special events such as Welcome Week, Family Day, Pickle Week, Homecoming, International Fair, Finals Frenzy, etc.
- Assists with registered student organization administrative support and programming
- Assists with CSI social media account management
- Data collection and record keeping
- Related duties as assigned by Center for Student Involvement staff
Required Qualifications
- MoWest Student
- Degree Seeking
- At least an overall 2.0 GPA
- Enrolled at least part-time (6 hours)
- Must be in good standing with the university and the St. Joseph community
- Not currently on academic or disciplinary probation
Preferred Qualifications
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Experience working with Esports and/or related equipment (consoles, PCs, controllers, headphones, etc)
- Experience assisting with student events
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated teamwork, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Experience with applications such as Fusion, ggLeap, Xbox, Play Station, Nintendo, etc. preferred but not required
- Basic equipment troubleshooting skills
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Must have a willingness to interact with people and keep confidentiality a top priority
- Punctuality & time management skills
Physical Demands
Physical Demands Light Work:
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
