About The Role

As a Training Developer, you will design and deliver learning solutions that improve business performance and employee capability. You’ll partner with business leaders to identify skill gaps, build targeted training programs, and measure effectiveness using data and learner feedback. This role is key to driving continuous learning and supporting strategic initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to translate business needs into effective learning solutions
  • Conduct training needs assessments and job/task analyses to identify skill gaps and opportunities
  • Define clear, measurable learning objectives aligned to business goals and learner needs
  • Select and apply appropriate instructional strategies and delivery methods (e.g., virtual, in-person, self‑paced)
  • Design and develop training programs and performance support materials using adult learning principles
  • Create engaging learning content for both synchronous and asynchronous delivery
  • Develop and maintain reusable templates and learning assets to support consistency and scalability
  • Facilitate and deliver engaging, learner‑centered training experiences (including train‑the‑trainer sessions) across virtual and in‑person environments, adapting to audience needs and delivering high‑quality solutions within defined timelines
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using assessments, learner feedback, and performance data, and recommend improvements
  • Analyze results and share insights with business partners using standard reporting tools
  • Participate in team and operational meetings to stay aligned with business priorities and upcoming initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in training, instructional design, or learning and development
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and delivering training programs
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
  • Experience conducting needs assessments and translating business needs into effective learning solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment with tight timelines
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and apply insights to improve learning outcomes
  • Effective facilitation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively (and build relationships) with associates at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to quickly learn, adapt to, and apply new tools and technologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in training and development, ideally in a corporate or financial services environment
  • Experience with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Mindsmith, Articulate, Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (e.g., Seer Tech or similar platforms)
  • Instructional Design certification (e.g., ATD, CPTD, or similar)
  • Master’s degree in instructional design, adult education, educational technology, or a related field

Pay Range Information

The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job‑related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short‑term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.

Qualifying associates can enroll themselves and/or their eligible dependents in medical and prescription drug coverage; can participate in the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k) Plan), the Employee Assistance Program, (virtual) fitness center programs, and the associate discount program; are automatically enrolled in Business Travel Accident Insurance; and receive Associate Tax Prep benefit.

Pay Range

$62,800.00 - $94,200.00/Yr.
