PLC Programmer

Seeking PLC Programmer for contractual position at Saint Joseph, MO. Let us know if you are available and interested for this role.

Location:

Saint Joseph, MO 64503 (This role will require some travel during the later part of the time and in some case 3-5 days at any plant.)

Duration:
Long term contract (6 Months to start with)

Desired Experience Range:
Minimum 5‑6 years plus hands‑on experience

• Design, develop, and implement PLC programs using Allen Bradley (RSLogix 500, RSLogix/Studio 5000, CCW) and Siemens (TIA Portal/S7/SIMATIC 505) platforms.
• Understanding technical and operational constraints to create project development and commissioning plans.
• Configure and manage Kepware for OPC communication between devices and systems.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data logging, reporting, and system integration.
• Clear understanding of back‑end computing infrastructure used in manufacturing (compute hardware, virtualization, OS’s, networking, databases, etc.) is a plus.
• Interacting with client for the requirement analysis, enhancement and support required.
• Perform on‑site commissioning, troubleshooting, and support at customer locations across the U.S.
• Maintain documentation for system architecture, code, and configurations.

• 5–6 years of hands‑on experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
• Proficiency in HMI development (Factory Talk View, WinCC, etc.).
• Experience with Ignition SCADA platform.
• Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with Kepware and OPC protocols.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites across the U.S.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
