They are seeking an energetic, hands-on, and highly motivated Field Service Technician/Engineer in Greater St. Louis, MO market to support the continued growth of their packaging systems and automation business. This individual will play a key role in equipment installations, technical support, troubleshooting, and customer training throughout the assigned territory.
Responsibilities- Perform installations of packaging equipment and systems at customer locations
- Assist with equipment demonstrations both internally and at customer facilities
- Partner closely with Sales and Technical Support teams to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction
- Fabricate and modify components for custom equipment installations as needed
- Support semi-automated and fully automated packaging line integrations including conveyors and related equipment
- Provide troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and after-sales support for packaging systems
- Train customers on equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures
- 5+ years of experience in a hands-on technical, maintenance, or field service role
- Experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting packaging equipment or automation systems
- Mechanical aptitude with fabrication skills including cutting, drilling, and modifying components
- Working knowledge of PLCs, electronics, hydraulics, and basic equipment programming
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities
- Experience training customers or internal personnel on equipment operation
- Valid driver’s license with a strong driving record
- Limited overnight travel initially, with future travel expected approximately 1-2 times per month for short durations
- Occasional weekend travel may be required on a limited basis
- Technical degree or related education
- Experience with packaging automation, tape machines, or form fill & seal equipment
- Prior experience supporting automated packaging systems
