Field Airborne Support Technician (on-call, 100% travel). Must be on site or dispatched within two hours of the initial contact from Gulfstream.

Compensation: $46.64 - $51.54 per hour (final amount determined by qualifications, location, etc.)

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 8 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical), including 2 years of Gulfstream aircraft experience.
• A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain a passport required.

Perform technical functions of aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key aircraft components on AOG aircraft on road trips and in the Customer Support organization. Provide troubleshooting and repair duties requiring accuracy and skill on customer live-in-service aircraft, supporting the customer in diagnosing and resolving technical problems.

• Available on an on‑call basis and dispatched within two hours of the initial contact.
• Communicate effectively with customers, scheduling, FAST flight crews, Tech Ops, business office, vendors, Warranty, Field Service Representatives, and Hangar Ops.
• Act as the single point of contact between Gulfstream and the customer to relay aircraft schedule and return‑to‑service expectations.
• Perform required AOG maintenance and servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems.
• Work independently and consistently to perform assigned maintenance and avionics tasks within quoted or standard CMP time with little or no supervision.
• Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot mechanical and functional components of the aircraft, including airframes, engine components, landing gear, electrical components, and control systems.
• Coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
• Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with the customer and provide one‑on‑one direct familiarization briefings during road trips.
• Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment; store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely.
• Follow standard operating procedures and JSAs when operating ground support equipment.
• Operate and oversee use of special support equipment used in removal and installations of major components.
• Order and receive all tooling and materials needed to service the AOG aircraft.
• Arrange shipment of all core units and tooling back to Gulfstream.
• Identify advanced troubleshooting techniques for all model aircraft with assistance from Tech Ops.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems.
• Advanced knowledge of technical reference materials (maintenance manuals, IPCs, Service Bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, ADS, etc.).
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
