.This position will work to support Altec’ s internal and external customers on projects related to product designs, current process sustainment, developing optimized processes, and supplier quality.

• ABETEAC-certified
  
  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

OR

• Master of Science in Engineering from a college thatoffersABETEAC-certifiedBSdegrees.

OR

• Active PE license in the United States.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work with team members and work with minimal supervision
• Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time, potentially on short notice, which may include flying.

• Practices prudent engineering and effectively apply formal engineeringtrainingadding to the overall effectiveness of the Engineering Group and enhancement of Altec’s position within the product line.
• Participates andcontributeproductively as part of Altec’s team-oriented design,manufacture and customer service/support efforts
• Operates with some decision-making latitude within the scope of an assignment.
• As directed, may assign work to Designers, Engineering Technologists and Engineers (entry level).
• Communicates with customers on issues of technical specifications, product design and operation as appropriate.
• Develops test specifications.
• Develops andtestsprototypes.
• Ensuresdesigns meet customer requirements and provide customer support to Operations, Sales, and Service
• Interfaces directly with Suppliers for product creation and support.
• Interfaces directly with Customers for products in the field.
• May managevarious sizesof Altec projects and/or act as Team Lead.
• Fulfills assigned responsibilities in one or more of the following roles.
• Preforms analysis on critical components, providing design recommendations, and creating.
• Physical testreportsas necessary.
• Provide engineering analysis for specific customer requirements within custom built timeline.
• Developsspecifications of products,materials and components.
• Provides technical oversight to engineering technologists and designers.
• Champion quality initiatives when necessary.
