It is the mission of the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) to continually enhance the professionalism of California law enforcement in serving its communities.
POST is recruiting for multiple positions in the Professional Conduct Northern Bureau in the Peace Officer Standards Accountability Division (POSAD), and will consider hiring at the level of LEC I. POSAD reviews investigations conducted by law enforcement agencies and conducts additional investigations into serious misconduct that may provide grounds for suspension or revocation of a peace officer's certification.
Working ConditionsPOST's headquarters is in West Sacramento, California. However, the work assignment is remote located in the Central Valley and requires travel to various locations, including Stanislaus, Merced, Madera, Fresno, Kern, Kings, Tulare, Inyo, Mono, Mariposa, Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura county, etc., in order to conduct investigations related to serious misconduct. Regular and consistent attendance is critical to the successful performance of this position.
The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

The Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) is a small, friendly, state agency located in West Sacramento with easy freeway access and plenty of FREE parking.
