Overview

You will play a key role by delivering manufacturing execution solutions (MES) to support our manufacturing business. In this role you will build and maintain strong partnerships with different stakeholders. Our global presence provides an opportunity to collaborate internationally.
LocationThis role is located in the St. Joseph, MO office, close to the Kansas City area. A flexible onsite schedule of 2–3 days per week is required.
Responsibilities- Work with the global MES team to transform the existing MES landscape toward a cloud-native architecture based on Open Shift / Kubernetes and PostgreSQL, and contribute to MES deployments involving Docker containerization and Oracle database integration.
- Contribute to the automation, integration, standardization, optimization, and operation of MES solutions based on existing MES templates.
- Support the system life cycle (design, planning, implementation, and run) of local and global manufacturing solutions.
- Lead manufacturing execution implementation projects at production sites on a global level in cooperation with other IT units and the business community.
- Collaborate with OT teams to ensure seamless integration of MES with shop floor systems and a deep understanding of OT processes and data flows.
- Support the basic creation and configuration of Master Batch Records (MBRs) and understand their role in manufacturing and quality processes.
- Provide incident and problem management support for MES deployments across all regions, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement of system reliability.
- Lead structured investigations into recurring or high-impact MES issues using root cause analysis methodologies such as 5‑Whys and Fishbone diagrams.
- Document all investigations in compliance with GMP and regulatory standards, supporting audit readiness and traceability.
- Analyze incident trends to identify systemic issues and propose improvements to MES templates, deployment strategies, or integration points.
- Facilitate cross‑functional meetings to align stakeholders on investigation outcomes and next steps.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies (Windows/Linux operating systems, Citrix) and database systems (Oracle / PostgreSQL).
- Associate degree in Computer Science or MIS with a minimum of 4 years experience; or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field with a minimum of 2 years experience; or Master degree in Computer Science or MIS with a minimum of 1 year experience; or relevant Business or IT experience of a minimum of 4 years.
- Strong team player with a solution‑oriented approach, able to learn and work in an international and intercultural environment.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without restriction.
- Willingness to take a drug test and post‑offer physical examination if required.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Knowledge or first experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems, especially Körber PAS‑X 3.2 or 3.3.
- Understanding of OT environments and their role in pharmaceutical manufacturing, including data acquisition and control systems.
- Nice to have knowledge of Docker or Red Hat Open Shift / Kubernetes.
- Experience with M design and lifecycle management within MES platforms in regulated environments.
- Hands‑on experience with Docker‑based deployments and Oracle database administration or integration in manufacturing IT systems.
