Course Overview
Established in 1898, St. Joseph Country Club is the oldest country club west of the Mississippi River. Designed by
A. W. Tillinghast and renovated in 2003, St. Joseph Country Club is proud to feature an 18‑hole championship golf course, a 19th hole, and practice facilities that include a driving range, two putting greens, and two short‑game practice areas. St. Joseph Country Club showcases A1/A4 bent grass greens, Meyer zoysia tees and fairways, and a bluegrass/fescue rough. In fall of 2025, SJCC finished renovating its signature Par 3 and plans to start renovating #16 green complex later this year.
Along with these projects, the club is also in the middle of installing all new bridges and finishing a front 9 cart path renovation.
- Manage a 6–20 person crew and schedule daily/weekly tasks, leading by example and training new employees to be efficient and successful in their daily jobs.
- Defuse and delegate daily challenges that might arise, interview and hold employees to the standard set by the Superintendent.
- Operate or learn any and all equipment on property, experience fixing/troubleshooting irrigation, be familiar with tank mixing and applying chemicals or fertilizers.
- Proficient at or willing to learn hand watering and managing desirable moisture.
- Comfortable leading projects or renovations.
