Director of Operations – Commercial Electrical Construction – Missouri

Gryphon Oakwood is partnering with a leading electrical contractor to identify an experienced Director of Operations to lead and oversee its operations across Missouri. This individual will be responsible for operational performance, financial results, project execution, and team development while supporting the continued growth and expansion of the business.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an accomplished electrical construction professional with strong operational and financial experience and a proven ability to lead teams, improve project performance, and successfully scale construction operations.

• Provide operational leadership across electrical construction projects and teams throughout Missouri
• Hold responsibility for P&L performance, including budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and financial controls
• Lead, develop, and mentor Project Executives, Project Managers, and operational leadership
• Oversee portfolio performance to ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, on schedule, and to the highest standards
• Drive consistency and operational excellence across project execution, controls, processes, and reporting
• Monitor project financials, schedules, manpower, risk, and overall operational performance
• Partner with executive leadership to support strategic planning and continued market growth
• Strengthen key client and contractor relationships while supporting business development and new project opportunities
• Lead workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning to support continued growth
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company standards and industry requirements

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within electrical construction or a closely related construction environment
• Proven experience leading electrical construction operations, large project portfolios, or business units
• Strong P&L and financial management experience within construction
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Project Executives, Project Managers, and operational teams
• Strong understanding of electrical construction project delivery, forecasting, cost controls, scheduling, and operational performance
• Track record of improving project profitability, developing teams, and supporting sustainable business growth
• Commercial, industrial, and/or mission-critical electrical construction experience preferred
