Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities and Duties- Train and direct the activities of production personnel in the areas of safety, ensuring all employees are properly trained in safe operation of production equipment and that all safety rules are enforced.
- Ensure production personnel report and/or correct unsafe conditions, monitor employee behavior regarding safe work performance, and schedule safety meetings with appropriate attendance and topics.
- Enforce Lock Out / Tag Out procedures, ensure all employees use appropriate safety equipment, and continue to implement the Ring Family Culture in the facility.
- Coach and instruct supervisors in caring for employees, leading by example, and welcoming employees to the plant daily, inquiring about their personal lives and showing that Ring cares.
- Hold pre‑shift meetings to explain the day’s needs and concerns, emphasize safety for all, and manage by walking around during shifts to initiate conversations about employee well‑being.
- Recognize employees’ efforts, search for the root cause of issues, actively listen, and resolve to the benefit of all employees.
- Lead and support employee engagement initiatives, conduct focused walks semi‑weekly to gather employee input on safety, quality, performance, scheduling, teamwork, and other topics, and document opportunities for improvement.
- Develop strategies encouraging employee‑led teams to implement solutions, provide ongoing feedback, and celebrate wins and recognition for successful teams.
- Ensure all production personnel are trained to identify quality defects for rejection, understand the rework process, and meet or exceed customer standards and expectations, as defined by the testing control plan and recorded in NWA Quality Monitor.
- Ensure all raw materials, packaging materials, work‑in‑progress, and finished goods are labeled with fully traceable lot numbers, and that all non‑conforming products and materials are identified, communicated, segregated, and documented.
- Train production personnel in equipment operation, quality control requirements, standards, and procedures, and in recognizing materials that should be scrapped or reground.
- Maintain training documentation, monitor and analyze machine efficiency, track OEE, changeovers, downtime, scrap, and bottle loss, and provide downtime plans to support corrective actions.
- Schedule product changeovers to minimize downtime and loss of productivity, monitor labor expenses, and maintain employee calendars, corrective action documentation, counseling, vacation scheduling, and staffing within budget limits.
- Measure employee turnover and implement action plans to reduce terminations; prepare and maintain necessary production records and reports, and schedule production to meet customer demand and safety stock requirements.
- Supervise shift supervisors, facilitate supervisor meetings and maintain meeting minutes, promote teamwork across the plant, and collaborate with maintenance on TPM and CLAIR projects.
- Ensure all food safety, defense, and quality systems comply with federal, state, and local regulations and with SQFI or BRC standards, including prerequisite programs such as security, pest control, and allergen control.
- Ensure production processes are performed in a food‑safe manner, maintain housekeeping duties per the Master Cleaning Schedule, and foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Management or Supervision in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to provide technical guidance through past experience and industry knowledge.
- Strong people skills, leadership qualities, managerial abilities, sense of urgency, accountability, business ethics, professionalism, self‑motivation, and a focus to improve the business.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Required:
4‑year technical degree and/or business degree.
