Assembler – 2nd and 3rd Shift
Assemblers are responsible for assembling Pedestals, Turntables, and Boom components, along with other related components, to produce world‑class Altec Equipment.
- Must read and interpret technical documents, including engineering documents and schematics.
- Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
- Must have mechanical assembly experience; automotive electrical experience may be required for some positions.
- Must read blueprints and hydraulic diagrams, and understand tape measurements.
- Must perform re‑work as required and follow established safety and quality policies.
- Must prepare and fit multiple components together, learn and operate all equipment within the department, support APS initiatives (Lean Manufacturing), and be willing to move to other areas of production as needed.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work 2nd and/or 3rd shift.
- Mechanical assembly experience required.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents, including engineering documents and schematics.
- Vocational technical school certificate in a manufacturing field.
- Hydraulic and electrical (automotive wiring) skills.
- Experience in the utility industry.
