Maintenance Mechanic

Job Title Maintenance Mechanic Location St . Joseph, MO (Pear Street)

Shifts:

1st Shift (6:30am-2:30pm), 2nd shift (3:00pm–11:00pm) and 3rd shift (10:00pm–6:00am). Overtime and weekends may be required. 2nd shift +$1.00/hr., 3rd shift +$2.00/hr., weekend shift +$0.29/hr paid weekly on Fridays.

Job Responsibilities Troubleshooting and repairing machinery and facility equipment

Repairs machines, jigs, fixtures, gauges and fits replacement parts and/or makes replacement parts as required

Must be able to do electrical, plumbing, heating and roofing repairs

Must be able to read schematics and electronic blueprints

Must be capable of servicing and operating rectifiers

Must be capable of operating precision hand tools and electronic equipment

Adjusts machines for production when adjustment is beyond the scope of operator

Maintains and installs piping, fittings, valves, gauges and all types of controls for hydraulic systems, gas and air lines

Requires ability to set up and operate lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinder, power saws, welder, etc.

Makes periodic checks of machines and equipment and performs preventive maintenance as required; i.e. oils, greases, etc.

Performs carpentry and sheet metal work in fabricating and repairing benches, guards, boxes, trays, etc.

Qualifications Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and working on computerized equipment

Basic math, reading and writing skills

Able to work in a fast pace environment, multi-task, and track workload

Able to read and schematics and blueprints

Able to work overtime and weekends as needed

Must be able to wear required PPE (if applicable)

Preferred Qualifications A High School diploma or equivalentPLC troubleshooting experience preferred but not required
