Job Description:

Troy Christian Church is seeking to hire a full-time Senior Minister to preach and teach the Word of God.

Key responsibilities include:

• Becoming a part of the local TCC family,
• Preparing weekly sermons for Sunday morning service,
• Writing/selecting study material for adult study groups,
• Building intentional relationships with the congregation members through discipleship and accountability,
• Reaching out and developing relationships to those in the community,
• Serving and connecting church members through hospital calls,
• Pastoral counseling, and prayer;
• Serving alongside and being accountable to the leadership of the fellow elders,
• Helping equip others to together serve the body and God’s calling using their gifts and abilities, etc.

• We are seeking a man of God who has graduated from Bible College or with comparable education and preferably with experience in lead pastoral ministry.
• He must be a man of integrity that is open to accountability and mentorship.
• We believe a spiritual leader leads through service, like that of Christ Jesus.
• The Senior Minister must be willing to meet people where they are and love them like Jesus while walking in personal holiness.
• We believe discipleship and evangelism is a church effort and not the full responsibility of the Senior Minister.
• We are seeking a lead servant to join alongside with us and give leadership, guidance, and encouragement in our efforts to seek and save the lost.

Troy Christian Church is located in Troy, KS, the county seat of Doniphan County. Our building is directly across the street from the historic Doniphan County courthouse. We are located about 20 minutes West of St. Joseph, MO and about an hour North of Kansas City.

The TCC community reaches Troy (with a city population of approximately 1,000) and the surrounding communities (with approximate population around 2,500-5,000). Area jobs are primarily agricultural and small business with many commuting to the St. Joseph area. Our church family strives to establish and nurture lasting relationships with the local community, with eternal impact, both locally and around the globe.

Compensation Package: $50-$60,000 (depending on experience)
