Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, MO is currently seeking an additional Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join alongside our 11 experienced physicians, four APPs, and numerous other highly trained support staff at our General Surgery practice.
Position highlights- Enjoy work-life balance in a full-time, employed position
- Anticipated work schedule will be four days per week, 10-hour days
- 75% Inpatient, 25% Outpatient
- Enjoy a variety of duties which include the care of patients throughout perioperative course, minor procedures and surgical assistance
- Features a specialized Ostomy Care Department, Breast Center, Bariatric Center of Excellence, and comprehensive Trauma Care services.

- Master’s Degree Required
- Current Missouri license preferred or the ability to obtain licensure
- Current DEA licensure
- Possess ability to work independently/autonomously and interdependently with other health care professionals
- Have extensive patient assessment skills using diagnostic methods and instruments with the ability to develop appropriate plan of care, modifying as indicated
- Possess effective communication skills and interpersonal skills with patients, families and members of the health care team
- Successful completion of a CNS or APRN master’s degree in a nursing program in the specialty area or must demonstrate successful completion of a formal post-graduate track or accredited program (within the specialty area) within a school of nursing granted graduate-level academic credit (e.g. graduate, non-matriculating program)
- Licensed in state of Missouri or Kansas, depending upon designated work location. Must be currently certified by a nationally recognized certifying body acceptable to the Missouri or Kansas State Board of Nursing as well as hold and maintain a current Document of Recognition
