Job Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Stepdown RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Saint Joseph, Missouri.

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing techniques, focusing on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac-related procedures and examinations.
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
• Observes patients, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies the supervising physician of cardiac status and response to interventions.
• Responds to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols for cardiac emergencies.
• Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education plans focused on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients.
• Adheres to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) certification.
• Physical abilities: able to remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lb), push, pull, and bend.
• Technical/motor skills: ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, and move equipment during procedures.
• Mental requirements: cope with frequent contact with the public and meet deadlines under pressure; able to work under close or independent supervision.
• Sensory: possess visual acuity and effective communication skills.
