At Shriners Children’s St. Louis, we have a team of physicians and specialists who are highly trained and experienced in pediatric orthopedics. This team treats children with a variety of orthopedic conditions ranging from mild to complex. Other specialties available include limb‑lengthening and reconstruction, spine care, muscular and neuromuscular care, orthotics and prosthetics, and plastic surgery.
Position SummaryFull‑time night shift Pediatric Registered Nurse in our Inpatient Unit. You will provide direct patient care for children with orthopedic conditions, delivering Med‑Surg and ICU‑level nursing care.
HoursThis full‑time night shift position works 72 hours bi‑weekly and every 3rd weekend.
Qualifications- BSN degree or in process
- Missouri RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 2+ years bedside RN experience (will consider new grads)
- Pediatric and ICU experience
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- The Inpatient RN coordinates nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.
- The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.
- This position provides leadership by acting as an informal and formal leader, preceptor, and through quality improvement efforts.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be skillful in mentoring and teaching.
