- Guidance and assistance from a dedicated regional team
- Support the Director of Nursing (DON) in maintaining quality care standards
- Coordinate plans for the total care of each resident which comply with physician’s orders, governmental regulations and facility resident care policies.
- Communicate and interpret policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitor staff practices and implementation.
- Participate in all admissions decisions, and may visit prospective residents before admissions, as needed.
- Participate in daily and weekly management team meetings to discuss resident status, census changes, personnel, or resident complaints or concerns.
- Ensure delivery of compassionate quality care and nursing supervision as evidenced by adequate services and staff coverage, absence of odors, general cleanliness, prevention of pressure wounds, and apparent maintenance of optimal resident functions.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and application of Key Clinical Quality Indicators and proactively monitor and implement systems to achieve and/or surpass company thresholds.
- Assume DON responsibilities during their absence
- Provide 24‑hour "on call" service for emergencies
- Establish and manage goals and objectives for the nursing department through analysis and strategic planning consistent with the company mission.
- Understand and affect the role of the nurse leader with staff through effective team building motivation, change management, efficient time management, delegation, stress management and effective and timely communication.
- Facilitate collegial relationships among nurse managers and other healthcare professionals.
- RN licensed in Missouri
- 5 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred
- Long‑term care experience required
- At least 2 years in a nursing supervisory role
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Reliable transportation
