St. Joseph, MO – Western Reception, Diagnostic & Correctional Center (ST JOSEPH, MO 64506)
Position Type:
Per Diem (PRN)
Pay: $30.00 per hour (plus shift differentials)
Travel:
None
Shift Availability:
As Needed
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Medical) is responsible for providing holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients within the appropriate scope of practice while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff. The LPN responds to a range of physical and behavioral health needs in this environment.
Qualifications- Missouri Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, or ability to obtain one
- IV Certified
- Actively certified in Cardio‑Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Corrections experience not required
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screening and criminal background check
