Overview
Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound, and pain management services. The hospital has a 24‑hour adult emergency department and a pediatric ED in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Missouri Baptist is the first and only hospital in St.

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of nursing standards of care.
Responsibilities- Promotes patient- and family‑centered care in a healing environment.
- Educates patients and families on illness or injury management, post‑treatment home care needs, and medication administration.
- Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Engages in professional development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and the patient, family, or caregiver.
- Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
- Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
- Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including cultural, spiritual, and population‑specific needs.
- Maintains constant alertness and safe work practices; this is a safety‑sensitive position.
- Education:
Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing. - Experience:
