Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
Position DetailsEducation: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Licensure: Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure, meeting all state board of nursing requirements.
Experience: (To be defined)
Certifications- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion of course within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurse (CPHON)
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS)
- STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- Fetal Monitor Certification (C-EFM)
- Other unit-specific certifications as required

- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
