The following general description applies to all hourly store team members. Please read the detailed information listed below.
Responsibilities- Operate all equipment
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler
- Prepare product
- Receive and process telephone orders
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily
Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication SkillsAbility to comprehend and give correct written instructions. Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions and Skills- Perform accurate addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly (calculator may be used)
- Make correct monetary change
- Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders
- Coordinated motor control between eyes and hands/fingers to make rapid, precise movements with speed
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather when removing trash and performing other outside tasks
- In‑store temperatures range from 36 °F in cooler to above 90 °F in some work areas (sudden changes)
- Fumes from food odors
- Exposure to cornmeal dust
- Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler
- Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500 °F or higher
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts
- Talking and hearing on telephone
- Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks
- Depth perception
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces
- Standing:
Most tasks performed from a standing position. Walking surfaces include ceramic tile/brick with linoleum in some food process areas. Height of work surfaces 36–48 inches. - Walking:
Generally short distances and short durations. - Sitting:
Paperwork normally completed at a desk or table. - Lifting:
Bulk product deliveries handled with hand truck; cases up to 50 lb, up to 3 × 1.5 ft; stacked onto shelves up to 72 inches high. - Carrying:
Large cans (3 lb 7 oz) from workstation to storage shelves; occasionally pizza sauce (30 lb); trays of pizza dough (12 lb each), carried three at a time over short distances. - Pushing:
Push trays on dollies; a stack of trays (~24–30) requires up to 7.5 lb of force; trays may also be pulled. - Climbing:
Infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, perform maintenance. - Stooping/Bending:
Forward bending at the waist at pizza assembly station (~30–45 seconds at a time, repeated continuously). Also at front counter and when stocking ingredients.
