Merchandise and Stocking Associate

Position Summary

Sam's Club # N Belt Hwy Ste A, Saint Joseph, MO

Merchandising & stocking associates connect the dots to help members find what they need. The role may involve moving inventory in the backroom, unloading trucks, fulfilling club pick-up orders, stocking shelves, and assisting members. The job can be physically demanding, including lifting boxes and other heavy objects.

You will make an impact by:

• Promptly unloading trucks
• Assisting fellow associates throughout the store
• Sorting and stocking products on shelves and in the backroom
• Engaging with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude
• Maintaining a clean, neat, member-ready area

You will thrive if you enjoy fast-paced environments, put member satisfaction first, adapt to change, solve problems, and can lift items heavier than 25 pounds.

• Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, guiding self-service technology, assisting with purchases, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products and services.
• Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, forklift procedures, handling hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Maintain sales floor and merchandise presentation by zoning, stocking, organizing displays, pricing, identifying shrink, and securing fragile items.
• Monitor product quality, ensure proper rotation and dating, and display promotional merchandise prominently.
• Comply with policies, ethics, and Open Door Policy in daily operations.
• Complete work assignments by prioritizing tasks, collaborating with managers and colleagues, and adapting to change.
• Fill club pick-up orders and stage products according to policy and procedures.

Other information:

• The hourly wage range is $17.00 to $25.00 per hour, with actual rate meeting or exceeding minimum wage requirements.
